The Bandcamp alternative where fans come to you, not a marketplace
Musiqo gives you your own branded music app and website. Fans stream your songs, buy your albums and join your memberships in a place that carries your name, not ours. Like Bandcamp, it is free to start and we only earn when you sell: 10% per sale instead of 15%.
Create your free artist pageWhy artists are looking for sites like Bandcamp
Bandcamp has been one of the fairest places for independent musicians to sell music. But since it was sold by Epic Games to Songtradr in 2023, and roughly half of its staff was laid off, many artists and labels have started asking what else is out there.
The concern usually is not the fees. It is dependence. If your whole catalogue, your sales history and your fan list live on one marketplace, you are exposed to whatever that marketplace decides next.
What Musiqo does differently
- Your own branded hub at musiqo.app/a/your-name, with optional iOS and Android apps on the Pro App plan
- Sell albums and songs, plus weekly, monthly or yearly fan memberships for exclusive content
- Fans pay you directly through your own Stripe account, and payouts go straight to your bank
- Tour dates, news, stories and a newsletter signup in the same app, so fans have one place to follow you
- You keep your fan emails and purchase history instead of renting them from a marketplace

Is Musiqo cheaper than Bandcamp?
Yes, from the first sale. Both are free to start and both only charge when you sell, but Musiqo takes 10% where Bandcamp takes 15% on digital sales. Card processing is charged on top on both. On a $10 album that is $1 to Musiqo against $1.50 to Bandcamp.
Selling a lot? Pro ($19/month) lowers the fee to 8%, which pays for itself from about $950 a month in sales. Pro App ($89/month) brings it to 7% and adds your own iOS and Android apps.
Many artists use both. Keep Bandcamp for discovery and Bandcamp Fridays, and send your existing fans (from Instagram, TikTok, email and shows) to your own Musiqo app, where they can also subscribe, get news and see tour dates.
Moving from Bandcamp in three steps
- Create a free Musiqo account and upload your albums and tracks
- Set your colours, cover image and bio, and add tour dates and links
- Connect Stripe to get paid, set your prices, and put your Musiqo link in your bio
Frequently asked questions
What is the best Bandcamp alternative?
It depends on what you want. Subvert and Mirlo are marketplace alternatives run as co-ops or non-profits. Bandzoogle is a website builder. Musiqo is for artists who want their own branded app and website where fans stream, buy and subscribe in one place.
Can I use Musiqo and Bandcamp at the same time?
Yes. Nothing in Musiqo requires exclusivity. Many artists keep their Bandcamp page and use Musiqo as the home they send their own fans to.
Is Musiqo free?
Yes. The Free plan has no monthly fee and includes selling. Musiqo takes 10% per sale, and card processing is charged on top. Paid plans lower the fee to 8% or 7%.
How do I get paid?
Sales go through your own Stripe account. Stripe pays out to your bank on its normal schedule, and Musiqo only takes its platform fee from each sale.
